REVIEW | Liese Hair Dye: Natural Mocha

Hello hello! Today's blog post will be a review of the Liese foam hair dye in Natural Mocha! So I dyed my hair a few months ago (you can read more about it here) and my roots were starting to really bother me so I thought it was about time I dyed my hair again.

The dye kit comes with a set of gloves, instructions, developer, the dye, a nozzle, and a rinse-off treatment for after you dye your hair.

When I first opened up the instructions, I was upset to find that there were no instructions in English. EVERYTHING was in Japanese. Fortunately, everything is pretty straightforward and doesn't require that much guessing, but it still would have been nice to have some instructions in English just to ensure I'm doing everything properly.

The first thing I did was empty bottle "1" into bottle "2" and gently mix the dye and developer together. It's very important that you do not shake the bottle!!! This will prevent a good foam from developing. After the dye and developer were mixed together, I took off the cap of the bottle and screwed on the nozzle.

To dye your hair, just squeeze the bottle to get the foam dye and apply it onto your hair. I started at my scalp and worked on my roots all over my head before doing the rest of my hair. I used a little more than half of the formula and I was able to get my hair fully saturated with the foam dye. I placed a plastic bag over and allowed the dye to develop for 20 minutes before I washed the dye out.

So to the left you can see my before (top) and after (bottom) pictures. You can see in the top picture some of my roots peaking through. I didn't have a good picture that showed my roots, but I had about 2 inches of virgin hair. My hair is still a bit wet in the bottom picture, but you can see how it went from orange-brown to something a bit darker and with a little more red tones.

I would have to say that I am very happy with this dye! It was incredibly easy to use and I'm very happy with the results. I was also surprised how great my hair felt after dying it. My hair did not feel even a bit drier or more coarse than before I dyed it. I actually forgot to use the rinse-off treatment that came with the dye because I found that my hair didn't really need it. Overall, I highly recommend this hair dye and I'd love to use other Liese foam dyes in the future. :)
