MEMEBOX | Pony Effect First Look + Swatches!

Pony's new line just came out and I just had to get my hands one some of the new eye shadows quads!! I really wanted to get more stuff from the line like the brush set or some lip products as well but unfortunately, my wallet just didn't allow it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

From the line, I picked up the #Eternal Seduction and #Innocent Conceptual Eyes Quads. I also picked up an Innisfree sunblock since my Etude House one is running low and a Ramosu Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate Ampule Set. 

I was pleasantly surprised that they also threw in one of the Pony Effect Luminous Boost Mask Packs and two Pony Effect Smooth Dough Puffs! I love the black and gold themed packaging; the designs are very sleek and chic. 

For some reason, I thought the material of the quads would be tin, similar to a lot of other palettes. Instead they are made from plastic, I believe, making them nice and lightweight. From what I swatched, the shadows are well pigmented and seem very silky and blendable. I can't wait to try our these shadows!

MEMEBOX | GRWM Valentine's Day Box

Recently, I decided to buy myself a Memebox as retail therapy since winter quarter has been super hard and finals were coming up. I've also never actually purchased any of the boxes Memebox puts together, only individual items, and so I was very excited to get the Get Ready With Me - Valentine's Day Box! I did get this box after Valentine's Day and I'm pretty sure I snagged the last box, but it doesn't matter hehe. I got great products for an amazing price!! First look | Colourpop

I've been hearing so many great things about Colourpop recently so I decided to give a few of their products a try. If you haven't already heard of them, Colourpop is a makeup brand based in LA known for their super-pigmented and quality products but with a really affordable price. They're also cruelty-free!

I picked up three lip products and a blush. I got an Ultra Matte Lip in Trap, two Lippie Stix in Bound and Juice Bar, and the Never Been Kissed blush. First of all, I LOVE their packaging. It's a nice combination of fun, edgy, and modern. 

Ultra Matte Lip in Trap: applies on with a doe foot applicator; velvety matte finish; grey/beige color with purple undertones ($5)

Lippie Stix in Juice Bar: juicy berry color; sheer ($5)

Lippie Stix in Bound: light baby pink; satin finish ($5)

Never been kissed: in between a powder and a cream, making it super easy to blend;  natural, matte finish; a warm coral that will be perfect for the spring! ($8)
